In 1932 my dad was in one of the first classes to start in the new High School which was the Junior High for us. When we entered High School in 1958 we were using the ‘New' High School building, Time Moves on, ou Fuget de Temps. So in keeping with the tradition, our Hgh Schol building is now in use as a Junior High, the New High School building is now at 565 State Street, (8th st.).
This background is a photo of the entry of our beloved High School. Remember every morning when all classes, freshman through seniors, would congregate in this horseshoe shapped area of the high school building and we would greet everyone's new day. When the doors opened there was a great stampede for our lockers and our first classes. In 1958 this was the main entry to our High School.
As for me it was a social event, the camaraderie with classmates, talking with the girls that I admired and then there were the telling of jokes and stories. Wow, Gippy Sechtem could always get a laugh. Remember the Senior sneak, Mr. Anderson does? Those were the days. I have hundreds of memories from my tenure at RHS and I owe every one of you for these great times. Thank You all.
