Family Reunions & Events

Berschauer, Beem and Carney Familes

Sponsors the cousins reunion

The Reunion was a great success. The first couple of hours was spent with all talking with one another, trying to figure out how we are related. After about a half hour we were getting concerned if there would be enough food for the "pot luck" lunch. But our attention turned to other things and before you knew it the food tables were overflowing and we were looking for space.

After the social hour or so had passed we all set down to lunch. The food was outstanding and the desert table was truely decadent. We all continued to enjoy each others company and the food...

Bob Berschauer tried to get everyone to the front of the room for a genealogy presentation to answer the question, "How are all of us related"? After a while we all gathered around the "Stage" of the Navarre Town Hall, performance center, auditorium and basketball court. This everything room is just like the rooms that our ancestors used when they first arrived in this country. It was like this for years afterwards.

We traced through our roots using the US Genealogy Societies maping chart produced when Howard Hughes attorneys needed to sort out the various claims on his estate. A chart was prepared for all attendees showing their relationship to each other.

After the presentation and a break a video was displayed depicting life in Kratzke. As it was getting late in the afternoon people began to depart at this point. A good time was had by all and people were asking "When can we do it again"?

This presenter was very tired at the end of the day, but thoroughly satisfied. I forgot all of the effort that went into preperation and was really thinking about "When can we do it again".
